Our New Golden Corporate Tile

We love seeking out large companies that are really trying to do good – it’s like being a mix between Esther Rantzen, Cilla Black and that guy on the motorbike on Watchdog!

Aviva’s Community Award

We are delighted to award our 2nd Golden Corporate Tile to insurance giant Aviva for the work they do in supporting charities and community organisations across the UK.

This is what they say about their Community Fund –

“As one of the UK’s leading insurers, our core aim is to be with people when it really matters, and create the future we all want to live in. We run the Aviva Community Fund because we believe that by caring more about our community today, we can create a better future tomorrow and leave a legacy we can be proud of.”

The Aviva Community Fund works with Crowdfunder to give smaller charities with forward-thinking ideas the chance to learn valuable crowdfunding skills and inspire support from Aviva employees and the public – and each one of Aviva’s 16,000 employees is able to choose which charities they wish to support with a total of £60 over a year.

The projects that are currently being funded include community groups supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable older people and one supporting children with mental health issues, a mobile cancer care unit and several projects aimed at reducing loneliness.

The full list of projects can be seen at https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/search/projects

(but do read the later pages where there are still schemes that need people’s help).

Applications are now open for the next round of the Aviva Community Fund until 28th July.  Further details at www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/

Y Viva Aviva!
