Call if you Care Challenge

Sunday 4th October is Silver Sunday in the UK, the day that we spend celebrating all of the wonderful older people around us!

Here at Web of the Week, we wanted to do our own thing to help out, and that’s why we’ve launched the #CallifyouCareChallenge on Instagram, the social media platform.

Don’t stop reading now if you don’t know what hashtags, Instagram or social media is, or if you don’t want to use it, because you don’t need to!

What do we want to do?  Encourage young people to pick up the phone and call older people around them to have a chat and enjoy the homely conversations.

Why?  Because it seems wrong that so many of us are feeling lonely at the moment but we’re not working together to overcome it!

How?  By launching a challenge so that people spread the word and love as quickly as possible, so that we can all enjoy those wonderful chats!

Here is how to participate, but if you’re not on social media please just feel free to spread the word to the younger people around you.  Trust me it’s simple!

Follow the simple steps below and don’t forget your hashtag #CallifyouCareChallenge wherever you end up doing it!

And if you don’t have a particular photo in mind, or you don’t feel like posting it, we totally understand too.  Just post a photo of you with something that looks like a phone, could even be your hand!
