WoW Film Club – Chrimbo Classics & the odd Rom-Com

Christmas is almost here, so for this week’s Web of the Week suggestions, we thought that we would be timely and remind you of some of those “Chrimbo Classics”.  We also slipped in a Rom-Com for those who can’t live without…

What is the WoW Film Club?

Here at Web of the Week, we thought that we could all benefit from sharing our favourite films together so that we can discover new ones from others.  Sharing your favourite films in the comments below will allow others to discover some all-time classics.

Did you see the first Web of the Week film suggestions?  There were some great ones too!

The Holiday (2006)

A romantic comedy set in England and Los Angeles. Two lovelorn women, (played by Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz) decide to house swap for Christmas and discover the joys of life and love on the other side of the Atlantic.

The Santa Clause

Here is a charming Christmas comedy for the whole family, starring Tim Allen, who accidentally causes Santa Claus to fall from his roof and so becomes Santa Claus himself. Complete with sleigh rides, trips down the chimney and visits to the North Pole.

Romancing the Stone

Here is an oldie but goodie and a movie many have forgotten. This is an old-fashioned adventure story/romantic comedy starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. Set in the jungles of Columbia and the city of Cartagena, there are drug lords, crocodiles and death-defying stunts!
