The Battle of Cheriton (1644) (17+8mn)

One of the most influential battles of the Civil War between the Royalists and the Roundheads was the Battle of Cheriton in 1644 when the Parliamentarians were victorious. In this video Julian Humphries, an English Civil War expert, tours us through the village of Cheriton in Hampshire and the countryside around where the battle took place. The second video shows a reenactment of the two armies marching along the lanes of Hampshire.
