The Getty Villa in Malibu, California is a near replica of Villa dei Papiri, a luxurious villa in Herculaneum, Italy which was buried in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The Getty Villa was completed in 1974 and houses The Getty’s collection of Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiquities. This new short video overview was released in October 2020.
