Turner’s “Modern World” Exhibition now open (4min)

J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851) was an outstanding painter of contemporary life, including war, the abolition of slavery in Britain, industrial development, railways and steamships. This new exhibition of over 160 of his paintings and drawings opened at the Tate Britain this week.
