WoW Mocktails – non-alcoholic Cocktails!

Back in the summer, my cousins Louis and Harvey kindly made us a video showing how to make 3 delicious “mocktails” – non-alcoholic cocktails – which taste delicious!

And we were delighted that the acclaimed British author, Clare Pooley, kindly sent us this word of support.

[Incidentally, Louis has all of the right tools to make professional cocktails. But don’t worry, he says that a wooden spoon does a great job as a muddler.]

Pomegranate Mojito

Ingredients:

  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Half a lime 
  • Cloudy lemonade
  • Pomegranate juice
  • Fresh mint
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Chop the pomegranate and extract some seeds
  2. Spank the mint and add to the glass
  3. Cut your lime into quarters
  4. Gently muddle the limes
  5. Add your ice
  6. Add equal parts of cloudy lemonade and pomegranate juice
  7. Stir, and cut a groove in the lime and garnish
  8. Add a spruce of mint

Elderflower Daiquiri

Elderflower Daiquiri

Ingredients:

  • Half a lemon
  • Elderflower Cordial
  • Lemonade
  • Tonic / Soda
  • A raspberry
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the lemon, catching any pips
  2. Add a splash of elderflower cordial
  3. Add your ice
  4. Fill to half way with lemonade
  5. Top up with tonic or soda
  6. Garnish with a raspberry

Blueberry Bash

Ingredients:

  • A selection of berries
  • Half a lemon
  • Half a lime
  • Lemonade
  • Mint
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add your selection of berries to the jug
  2. Squeeze half a lemon into the jug
  3. Spank some mint and add
  4. Squeeze half a lime into the jug
  5. Muddle well
  6. Fill to half way with lemonade and stir well
  7. Add your ice to your glass before pouring
  8. Strain into the glass using a sieve
  9. Garnish with a blueberry and a mint spruce
