The Wells Food Festival was set up in 2012 to showcase and promote the best of Somerset’s artisan food and drink.
Nowadays, around 15,000 visitors would normally flock to England’s smallest city to browse almost 200 food and drink stalls but this year the event is taking place online, which means that everyone in the country can enjoy the festival and order some delicious treats for home delivery.
Follow this link to the festival map and then click the flashing dots to choose what you want to look at next – whether it be artisan foods or drinks, cookalongs and masterclasses, music, competitions or even local history.
And if you are a real foodie, why not immerse yourself in the full videos of each days’ presentations and activities which can be found on the Charlie Bigham YouTube Channel.
Below you will find an introduction from Charlie Bigham, the main sponsor of the festival, along with a fascinating video on the Wesctombe Dairy, a small artisan dairy making award-winning Cheddar and other West Country cheeses using unpasteurised milk from their own cows.
