In this article, we provide you with a beginner’s “How to play Bridge” video lesson, and a great website that allows you to play online either with your friends or people that are playing at the same time as you.  
 

Learning how to play Bridge

If you’re an absolute Bridge Beginner, don’t worry at all, we have found some great tips and lessons for you to start enjoying the game. 

Here is a video that walks you through the game in an easy and understandable way. 

I know that many of you know a lot more about playing Bridge than me (not least my Grandmother!).  So if you know of better sites or you have some tips for beginners please do post them below so that everyone has the chance to learn this great game.

Playing Bridge Online

There are lots of sites out there that allow you to play Bridge online, as it’s such a popular game.  Web of the Week has done some research and our feeling is that, based on our usual criteria of looking for something simple, safe and free, Trickster Cards looks a good starting point.

Trickster Cards, a free online Cards Game platform

Trickster Cards is a website that allows you to play a number of card games, including Bridge.  You can play for free and you don’t even need to sign up.

When you click on Play now (top right hand corner), you will be asked to choose which game you would like to play.  We will choose Bridge.  You can find extra guidance on how to play Bridge on Trickster Cards here.

There are multiple options.  You can Play instantly, which will allow you to join a game with other unknown players.  Don’t worry, you won’t need to speak to them!

You can also Practice against the computer, which may be useful if you are a beginner.

If you know other people who play and are wanting to have a game together, click Join.  This will guide you through the steps of how to join a game that a friend has already set up, or create a new game that your friends can join.  If you are creating a game, you can invite friends by entering their email addresses or giving them the invitation code. invite friends trickstercards

Tip!

If you would like to enjoy your game of Bridge whilst talking to your friends at the same time, you can add Video to your game too! This will mean that your friends can see and hear you.

Finally, for the seriously keen players, there is also the Competition mode, where you can compete against other online players to win more Tricksterchips. trickstercards competition chips

Warning!

In order to compete, you will need to buy Tricksterchips to enter. The site has a safe reputation so if you would like to play, you will need to enter your card details. If not, just carry on playing for free!
