The Princess of Polka Dots

Yayoi Kasama is a contemporary Japanese artist most famous for her polka dot art and her infinity rooms.

World’s favourite artist. 

Coming to Tate next year. 

In the first video, which is the trailer for a full-length documentary of the artist, we learn more about the struggles of Kasama’s early life and the evolution of her art.

In the second video we see time lapse photography of the Obliteration room at the Tate Modern Gallery London in 2012. Similar installations have been enjoyed at galleries in Australia, Europe, North and South America.
