I’ve gone on an adventure this weekend, to Pompadour, here in France!
Pompadour is an amazing place just south of Limoges, in the Corrèze region.
The red pin shows the location on the map!
It is famous for its castle, that was given to Marquise de Pompadour, Louis XV’s favourite. Since then it has become a town renowned for its amazing horse riding infrastructures, from racing to eventing.
On Friday afternoon Clara and I jumped into our van, with a horse box behind, and drove 4 hours north to get here. We’re having an amazing time and I’m really looking forward to showing you more! It’s a big eventing competition in which Clara is doing really well – good dressage to start things off and then no bars down on the jumping. She’s currently 8th with the cross-country to come on Sunday. So fingers crossed!
*Update* The competition is now over and we had an amazing time. I’m really looking forward to showing you how the weekend went, but I just haven’t had the time to put the video together! In the meantime, here are some photos of this magical place.
